So, the challenge is how to relate to someone else. How do you read someone's body language? How do you greet somebody without being really anxious? He gets incredibly anxious about first greetings. Even "good morning" for him can be really overwhelming from a family member. If when I'm with ones that are not aspera doesn't make so it a little more tricky to make friends. And since I'm with someone that's then has the same problems as I do, then it's a little easier to make friends. Ultimately, I want him to form relationships where he feels loved by friends, by intimates, whatever. I think that's what all parents want, but I think parents of autistic kids see a set of challenges before them that they know they're gonna need a tool for.
