Hey everybody, I am really excited to show you guys some awesome tools for the classroom that help children learn social-emotional skills. Now, right below this video, you should be able to see a bunch of these tools already there for you. I've saved the Microsoft Word documents, powerpoints, all kinds of stuff. So, you can print these right out and use them right away if you have access to this campus. You can come into our early childhood lab and actually laminate these for free. It is open currently this semester, which is fall of 2015. It is open from 7:30 to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. So, if it's another semester, you'll just have to ask me when operating hours are. You can use the laminator. So, a couple of things I want to show you that you can use in your classroom. One is Center tags. So, these are homemade, but you can get them online on Taxi and several things that you've already looked at, but I will provide you with the ones I made. These are signs that go in each of the centers where children can see it, so at eye level. And you'll notice they are labeled with both words and pictures. The reason we have pictures is that, of course, they can't read, but they can, however, associate pictures with words. So, that's early literacy skills. They also learn math skills here. So, you see I have this designed where four children can play in my block center. They have little Center tags with their name and picture on it and a piece of Velcro so they can choose, "I want to go here." They also learn one-to-one correspondence as you see because they associate the number two with two dots, the number one with one...
